چکیده
Water pollution has become a major issue in many countries, including Malaysia. Malaysia is one of the countries that suffers from this detrimental influence on water resource sustainability. Adsorption been discovered to be cost-effective and efficient method removing contaminants such as pigments, dyes, metal impurities. Many biomass-based adsorbent materials have successfully used for removal dyes aqueous solutions. In study, potential use coconut dregs new biosorbent Methylene Blue (MB) (basic dye) Brilliant Red Remazol (BRR) (acidic was investigated. The effects adsorption time, dosage, pH, initial dye concentration MB BRR were investigated using 2-Level Factorial Design Design-Expert 7.1.5. results indicated amount adsorbed increased with increasing concentration, time. However, both favor different pH process. capacity while decreasing pH. Removal optimum at 11, contact time 240 min, dosage 0.25 g adsorbent, an 50 mg/L. Meanwhile, dye, condition 2, 180 equilibrium data fitted very well Langmuir Isotherm equation giving maximum monolayer high 5.7208 mg/g 3.7636 Dye respectively. This study shows can low-cost biosorbents treatment industrial soon.

Expelling of dyestuff into water resource system causes major thread to the environment. Adsorption is the cost effective and potential method to remove the dyes from the effluents. Therefore, an attempt was made to study the adsorption of dyestuff (Methylene Blue (MB), Bromophenol Blue (BPB) and Coomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB)) by α-chitin nanoparticles (CNP) prepared from Penaeus monodon (Fabr...
متن کاملLigninolytic Enzymes Production and Remazol Brilliant Blue R Decolorization by Tropical Brazilian Basidiomycetes Fungi
Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) dye was used as substrate to evaluate ligninolytic activity in 125 basidiomycetous fungi isolated from tropical ecosystems. The extracellular RBBR decolorizing activity produced when selected fungi were grown in solid media and in soil contaminated with organochlorines was also evaluated. A total of 106 fungi decolorized the RBBR during the growth in malt extract...
متن کاملDecolourisation of Remazol Brilliant Blue R via a novel Bjerkandera sp. strain.
A novel strain of Bjerkandera sp. (B33/3), with particularly high decolourisation activities upon Poly R-478 and Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) dyes, was isolated. The role of the ligninolytic extracellular enzymes produced by this strain on decolourisation of RBBR was studied in some depth. The basis of decolourisation is an enzyme-mediated process, in which the main enzyme responsible is a r...
